About the Weaving Center

Established in 2002, the Weaving and Fiber Arts Center (WaFAC) is the Guild’s primary educational outreach facility. We offer year-round courses for youth and adults at all skill levels, with a variety of formats including full-day workshops, multi-day sessions, half-day classes, and weekly meetings.

Join the Weaving & Fiber Arts Facebook Community to get the latest on our classes.

Our Studio Space

Our studio features a spacious weaving room equipped with looms and fiber related equipment for student use. Students also have access to a class-time resource library, weaving software for project planning, and internet-based materials.

A second room serves as a flexible space for meetings and classes such as knitting, felting, dyeing, papermaking, and bookmaking.
The Guild’s Weaving & Fiber Arts Center has an online catalog of the books available for use at the Center. The Center’s Resource Materials are NOT for lending.

Our Classes

We offer a wide spectrum of weaving techniques using a variety of looms as well as band weaving, and basketry.

Our non-weaving classes span many fiber and mixed-media arts, and some of our more popular classes include felting, spinning, knitting, beading, dyeing, shibori, embroidery, papermaking, and bookmaking.

We also offer courses in color exploration, garment creation using handcrafted textiles and finishing techniques, and weaving software.
