The Alling features the largest collection of American hand woven coverlets in the United States.  WGR supports the museum by providing volunteers to act as docents.

Eastern Great Lakes Fiber Conference

EGLFC is a biennial conference organized and put on by fiber art guilds in the greater Eastern Great Lakes area.  The small friendly conference of about 85 participants includes 6 instructors and is held at the Chautauqua Institute in western New York.
