As a life long sewer, knitter & tactile person, fiber in all shapes and colors has drawn me in. My weaving journey began many years ago when I took a beginner weaving class from Joyce Robards at the Museum and Science Center. She was pointing to a drawdown on the board, I believe it was written in Greek. However with her natural teaching abilities, she led me to a simple dressed table loom, encouraged me to "do this, then do that”.....I was hooked. I was making fabric!

It was with a gathering of a small group of yarn lovers 25 years ago, the Weaver's and Spinners Guild of Naples was formed. As a founding member of that Guild, we placed bulk orders for yarn, and I then realized I could own and use more yarn faster than I could knit.....the rest is history.

Love of learning [and retirement] allowed me to join the Weavers Guild of Rochester. That has opened many new doors to endless avenues and acquaintances with a current passion for natural dyeing. Sharing the little I know is a joy, learning from & with others a blessing.
